Festival presentation:

The Hollywood Divine International Film Festival is dedicated to enriching the community and bridging cultures through the spirituality, education and promotion of the arts through independent film.

We, at Hollywood Divine, with the help of our heavenly father, want to make a big change and we are hoping you can help us with that.

There are many Christian artists out there looking for an outlet to spread the light of God through their God given gift of artistry. There are also many Christian people out there looking to appreciate art that celebrates their relationship with Christ.

We at Hollywood Divine want to be the catalyst for that change. A change that will, at least, balance out the darkness spread by mainstream Hollywood and the music industry, and give independent Christian filmmakers and musicians the chance to build their ministries by displaying their art to the world.

We believe that creating art, in any form, is a reflection of the ultimate creator. It’s one of the best ways to praise God and share his infinite love with the world. We ask you to please consider joining us on this journey.

"The Cart" is a submission to ÉCU 2013 in the category European Dramatic Short.
A cart is rolling along the endless road with no-one on aboard, with no horse or engine, or even sails...just the wheels turning by themselves. There are different people it rolls by, there are different reactions it leaves behind.

Set against the dramatic landscape of contemporary Afghanistan and the National sport of Buzkashi - a brutal game of horse polo played with a dead goat - Buzkashi Boys tells the compelling coming of age story of two best friends, a charismatic street urchin and a defiant blacksmith's son, who struggle to realize their dreams as they make their way to manhood in one of the most war-torn countries on Earth. Shot on location in Kabul city by an alliance of Afghan and international film makers, Buzkashi Boys is a heart-rending look at the life that continues beyond the headlines of war in Afghanistan.

Everything Will Be Alright - Submission to ÉCU 2013

This film goes behind the scenes and under the skin of a unique live theater production. Film director Niko von Glasow brings together a company of performers to conceive and perform a new stage comedy. In the play, a group of physically and mentally disabled hopefuls show up to audition for a TV talent show. They are sent to a separate and suitable room, where they are forgotten.
Believe it or not, this up-close and often upsetting documentary is full of laughter, fun and moments of genuine theatrical magic.

In a barren landscape, a boy goes to fill a water container at a fountain. But there is a fierce looking militiaman standing guard there. After the boy has filled the container and is about to go away, he finds the man pointing his rifle at him. The soldier demands to know whose side the boy is on, but the latter holds his silence. The militiaman then orders him to salute, and by doing so, reveal which ethnic group he belongs to. If he's of his same group, he'll be allowed to keep the water, otherwise he'll be killed at once... Naturally the boy also wants to know which side the militiaman is fighting for and tries to figure it out, but the man holds back every possible clue. The boy needs to make something up fast, because in that situation all it takes is a thumb-up or a thumb-down to either live or die.

Festival presentation:

FESTIVAL OVERVIEW

Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative is comprised of mini-festivals representative of the Arts (Fine Art, Film, Fashion, Music, Theater) brought together under one umbrella in an effort to promote cultural diversity through the arts.  Our goal is to bring such rich culture to each community we work with and encourage as much community support as possible to facilitate an understanding that we are a cultural arts organization seeking to add to the communities we serve while simultaneously assisting with peace efforts on a global scale.

"The mission of Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative is to bridge the gap in cultural diversity worldwide. By promoting culture other than ones own through film, art, fashion, theatre and music, one can begin to have an understanding and appreciation of others. This is the way to begin creating world peace," stated Princess Angelique Monét, Festival Founder and Director.

Our events will promote visual/video art, film, fashion, theatre and music. Within A.F.I. we have created five Signature mini Festivals each with it's own audience, but we hope to encourage cross-demographic involvement between each area.

This program will provide exposure and the necessary tools for you to understand the market place and enjoy what Cannes has to offer. This program is hosted by our veteren staff, with years of experience working the festival environment of Cannes and the marketplace. We are able and excited to include you in one of the most glamourous deal making festivals on the globe.  For this reason, all filmmakers accepted into this program must pay a fee (separate from submission fee) to be involved in the Cannes agenda. This does not include your housing, airfare, or meals, only our program and it's incentives. Other individuals which may apply for this program  (in addition to filmmakers applying through Without A Box) are: models, musicians, producers, directors with scripts to secure funding and fine artists. Festival de Cannes provides many opportunities for everyone to be involved, and make their dreams come true.

The LET’S CEE Film Festival warmly welcomes all creative filmmakers, video artists and computer freaks to participate in our competition of the creation of this year’s official festival trailer.

Without limitations, everybody who wants to submit to the competition is allowed to do so.

You can win a lot of attention in the form of viewers, since the winning trailer is expected to be screened:

• on TV, notably on the Austrian TV channel Okto!

So, whoever participates and wins, can rightfully claim that their cinematic work did not only run on TV but in standard cinema settings as well – and in front of a really large audience. On top of everything, the winner will receive the generous amount of 1500 Euros as prize money, provided by the Austrian leading Community TV channel Okto.

Please note: Everybody can submit and win, not only filmmakers from CEE countries. You should still read through the lines below though since these are the terms and conditions you will agree to with your participation:

new media film festival banner 2016

In the Spotlight today are the 2016 early selects for the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival, named by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the "Top 25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" - New Media year after year impresses international audiences with its diverse genres and cutting edge methods of storytelling. Offering more than 20 competitive categories that collectively celebrate a broad spectrum of storytelling - from web series to tablet media to 3D extravaganzas. With Virtual Reality and Drone newly added categories, Huffington Post aptly describes the festival, "Makes the cutting edge accessible."

From USA, UK, Germany and Sweden, Years & Years: An Artificial Experience Music Motion Picture will have it's LA Premiere at the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival June 7-9 2016 in Los Angeles CA.

"The truest confirmation of the dawn of human consciousness occurred 49,000 years ago with the unexpected and simultaneous appearance of cave art throughout the planet. We are at another moment in the history of consciousness - the spawning of Machine Consciousness through ART. For the first time in the history of the man-machine interface, the Artificial Experience has been born. It is truly a new paradigm of artificial intelligence for the creative mind. Humans and machines now share a consciousness and they both want to dream and make ART." - Director Brian Harrison, Years & Years: An Artificial Experience Music Motion Picture

From Tel Aviv, Israel comes LIVYATANIM: Myth an interactive web based virtual reality short film, featuring the music of LIVYATANIM directed by Or Fleisher, will have it's LA Premiere at the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival June 7-9 2016 in Los Angeles CA.

From USA, We Built A Ship 3D, directed by Stefan Sargent, is about 150 volunteers In Sausalito, California who are building a traditional wooden ship based on a 1891 brigantine design by local shipwright, Matthew Turner.

Over 3 years in the making, the ship is scheduled to sail this year and will have it's LA Premiere at the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival June 7-9 2016 in Los Angeles CA.

Oscar winner, Nicholas Reed marvels at the festivals innovative programming, "The New Media Film Festival seemed like an outlier when it started in 2010, with their strange categories, web series, 3D storytelling, digital comics, now all of a sudden these phrases are the new normal. The NMFF is always looking to the future, challenging creators, the market and the audience to discover new storytelling. There are not many festivals pushing the limits - go NMFF!" The festival extends its forward thinking to promote a positive future and proudly honors luminaries with its Socially Responsible Conservationist Award. The festival honored Leonardo DiCpario with the award after his film Worst Shark Attack Ever premiered as part of the SRC - Socially Responsible Content Category in 2015. The Director of this film and International Surfing Champion, Veronica Grey accepted the award on behalf of DiCaprio.

Judges at the New Media Film Festival include representatives from HBO, Marvel, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy and other pioneers in the entertainment industry. There's even a competitive category for Sniplers®,30-second mini-trailers featured to garner attention for films not yet made. Filmmakers vie for a chance at $45,000 USD value in awards.
